I am enjoying that time of life when
one thinks of creating a legacy.

What are the lessons learned from living and creating this adventure called life that can be woven into stories that will benefit the health and wellbeing of generations to follow?
My stories are inspired by my experience caring for children with physical and emotional stressors during my career as a pediatric nurse. In an expanded role as a Holistic Nurse, I wrote Guided Imagery that emboldened children to face health challenges with confidence and mastery. The success of this therapeutic storytelling on improving the well-being of children, has inspired me to write picture books whose stories of magic and delight are woven with similarly empowering messages that support children to reach their full potential as happy, confident and resilient adults.
I write from the back porch of my log home, inspired by the majestic backdrop of Mt. Jefferson in Ashe County, North Carolina. I am supported and encouraged by my High School sweetheart and husband of nearly 47 years. Together, we enjoy the quiet satisfaction that our two children are leading independent and fulfilling lives, and we share the reward of perpetual recess with our two grandchildren, who love nothing better than delighting in a good book, particularly one written by Nana!
